Last weekend, Laurie's oldest childhood friend, Brooke, came to visit. She was in Indiana for a teaching seminar...since she was only an hour away, we had her over for the weekend.
While here, Brooke and Bubba checked out our wedding pictures.
Laurie distracted her, for a second, and I caught Brooke chatting.
Then, I got a couple of shots of Brook cuddling with her new boyfriend.
We went to a park on Saturday. Brooke had a little trouble, at first, keeping up with Bubba, but she did ok.
Laurie and Brooke even climbed around on the jungle gym, a bit.
Next, it was my turn to chase the kid around the play set.
I couldn't keep up when he slipped into the tunnel...
but boy, was he in trouble when I caught up to him.
I even thought about launching him, but decided he was too cute to pitch overboard.
Bubba really likes playgrounds, especially the slides.
Brooke was a brave soul, as she followed Bubba through the tunnel.
I suspect Bubba will become a rock climber,
as he got to the top fairly easily, here.
Brooke found her second childhood, swinging on the playground,
riding the teeter-totter with Laurie.
Matt just had to join them and get in on the action.
Next, Dad jumped onboard, and along with Mommy, gave Bubba a ride.
Bubba found the "telephones", and nearly put his whole head in to talk to us.
Next, he got to drive a bus and a firetruck toy,
then he and Brooke got back onto the see-saw, again.
Brooke had brought Matt a belated birthday present, which he enjoyed, very much...a hippity hop!!!
When he wasn't riding it on the baseball field, he was playing soccer with it.
Matt and Brooke raced back to the playground,
and Bubba had to chase the hippity hop through the play set, again.
We all had a good time, and Laurie and Brooke got to really catch up, and they had a lot of fun. So did I, but I thought I'd try to let them have their time, for the most part. Amazing, that.

Well,
I remembered your threat about posting these pictures and looked up bubbanfriends to see if you actually did it. Next time I'll take your threat more seriously. Laurie and I look smooshed in the jungle gym shot!
Well, you did a great job arranging the pics. It was worth the modem wait.
I had a great time and hope to visit again soon!
